For my son's 9th birthday we had a slumber party at the beginning of the school year. With the "at home movie night" request , he wanted popcorn for all guests! Since we had 6 boys and 2 girls I thought a big bucket of popcorn would not fly, or better, it would probably flying and popcorn would be all over! Besides, I wanted to make it look good... ok, I admit! I got these inexpensive clear scalloped containers at Party City for ¢99 (also available in a bigger size) and to personalize them, I wrote each guest name on scalloped round labels. When the popcorn was, well... popped, I aligned all containers on a nice tray and voilà! How simple and cute! The kids, of course, did not care for the cuteness but all found "their own" bucket pretty easily and no switching happened! The next morning, when we hit the piñata, I gave each guest their washed container to fill up with the candy gathered. Sorry dentists!
Wait a minute! Isn't this blog about clever organization? Ah ha! Since I had also made containers for my husband and I, plus an extra in case an unexpected sibling came... I was left with 5 containers after the party!
At back to school, I had reorganized the lunchbox and healthy snacks shelves in my pantry and I was not completely happy with the grab and go snacks inside closed boxes or containers. That was making them more like open, grab, close, now you can go! I had been looking for open containers to match the other clear containers with lids I already had in the pantry. Ah!Ha! My party containers! How practical and affordable! All I needed was some goo gone to remove the name tags! Now all snacks are visible, easily accessible and organized!
You may be asking what are those long sticks on the left, right? Those are Nick's Sticks! The best jerkies!! Made only of grass fed beef or free range turkey and Redmond salt. That's it! Pure, simple, real and delicious food! No hard to read ingredient, no sugar or syrup! Yes, most jerkies have some type of unnecessary sugar! Also available in a spicy flavor! I am sorry I do get carried away, but I really LOVE this gluten free, paleo snack! So, where do you find them? You can get them from Amazon. Now, if you become a regular, like I am, it's worth it setting up monthly deliveries, direct from them and you will save 20%.
